occ: this is for my own enjoyment...
the room was a cold steel room like the ones that were at the docks. thats all Jimmy could think about as he sat tied to a chair on the verge of being tared and thrown into the sea. his boss was next to him with his face down. for the pass couple of months they have raised all sorts of hells in the city that the mafia ruled. that when it all went down. Da Don enter the room he was a short Italian man, one pissed off person why else would he kill the two Jimmy and his boss. he and his two goons came walking in. Da Don spoke up "you assholes, you mostly Trent you go around fucking my whole city and doing all this bullshit and you expect me not to kill you?" Trent was Jimmy's boss, he picked up his head and looked in the eye "fuck you your no Da Don, i should be Da Don." Da Don gave a mean look at Jimmy and Trent, He walked slowly to the other side of the room "you did do that much now that i think about it Trent, it was your fucking second hand man Jimmy." he looked at jimmy "your nothing your dirt and soon you'll be fish chum." Trent got angry "come over here say to my face" Da Don crossed the room and got really close to Trent's face. the next thing Trent leaded in to Da Don face and bit him, hard. Da Don started to scream loud and Jimmy undid his binds and got the two goons. but, Trent kept biting. he spit out Da Don's eye. Jimmy had a uneasy look on his face. "Fuck you Da Don i am the new leader of the mob, you got it, i am Da Don and you cross me again I'll rip your fucking head off its body and hang you from your spine you shit head, I'll kill you, hell i will kill you now" Jimmy stepped in "i think we did enough today alright Trent" Trent yelled back "I'm Da Don now got it!" they exited the building soon to be the head of the mafia but it would be a long road.
occ: Trent is now Da Don and he is kinda of crazy, Jimmy's full name is Jimmy Underwind.

With Trent taking the title as Da Don many changes where to take place. First, Da Don had to assert his authority on all the mafia under-bosses and henchmen. This would prove to be hard for Da Don as his rise to power in the Trinity mafia was fast and hard. Also the new Da Don had a very eccentric reputation as being a nut job. Jimmy even at times would comment on the insanity that went through his head daily. He would deal with his own enemies in the most cold-blooded ways possible. But, usually Trent would rely on his second hand man or what he like to call his left hand man, Jimmy. Now, Jimmy was not like Da Don at all. Jimmy has a child, has a girlfriend, has a heart, and did not have a bad reputation. Jimmy was hand picked by Da Don because he saw potential in the man. Hell, he is one of the best marksmen of all the hit men that where employed by any of the Mafias. Jimmy has a clear head and doesn’t beat around the bush; he just does the job collects the money and goes home as if it was a normal white collard job.
“Now don’t get me wrong, Jimmy you’re a good guy but, come on your working for a fucking nut job. I mean come on he doesn’t belong as Da Don, hell he doesn’t belong in society. He should be a mental institution!” Newton said it with a hint of fear in his brown eyes, smoke billowing from his nostrils, it was a cold after noon and the port was closed because of ice sheets flowing at its openings. Jimmy looked at Newton, he gazed at him; the cold weathered played tricks on Jimmy. He always thought that he saw something; something out they’re in the shadows when it was cold. He snapped out of his thought “Newt if you’re not with Da Don, you’re against Da Don and if you think your going to change my mind your not. Look I’ve known the guy for a long time, sure he a fucking nut case, hell maybe he belongs in an insane asylum, but… but, he’s got on top, right? He is doing something right?” Newton gave a smile and puffed his cigarette “man you sound like your going to waste me” he reached in his coat pocket and pulled out a packet of smokes and gave one to Jimmy. Jimmy took it and placed it in his mouth “if I was going to kill you I wouldn’t be telling you a thing. Besides your no moron, you aren’t going to try and attract negative attention from Da Don. You don’t want to die.” Newton laughed then puffed some more clouds of smoke “damn right, as long as I am on pay roll I’ll do what I am told!” He took the cig and threw it at the icy ground. The cell phone rang in Jimmy’s pocket; he held it out so both of them could see who is calling. Newton gave a slight smirk at the name, Jimmy looked indifferent. Jimmy motion to Newton that he had to take the call. Newton shrugged his shoulder and walked to the far side of the dock. Jimmy slid the cig to the side of his mouth and held the phone to his ear “Trent, how is it going” Jimmy placed his head against the phone and his shoulder so that he could use his hand to take his smoke. “Jimmy, don’t call me Trent I am the motherfucking Don!!!” Jimmy paused “sorry Da Don, what is the news what do I got to do this time.” Newton walked closer to Jimmy. “Alright so far the take over has been easy, I’ve a lot of the under-bosses rapped around my fucking finger. But, there are all these shits on the south side of town they’re threatening to take me out, they want to down me. So I need to make an example of one of them. You know just kidnap me one under-boss and I’ll do the rest.” Newton was now close enough that he was able to here what Da Don’s last few words. Jimmy looks at Newton and gave him the finger. “All right I’ll do it give me at least a few days though, and I don’t want to be there to see what you do.” Jimmy closed the phone “the fuck you doing” Newton smiled “look I couldn’t help it, I got to know what Da Don is thinking.” Jimmy finished his smoke; he took it and flicked it at Newton. Newton flinched, Jimmy spoke “I need your help, you know the southern under-bosses, right?” Newton reached in his pocket again and pulled out his box of cigarettes. “Yeah I know a lot of those pricks, why?” Newton tossed the smoke at Jimmy “I need to grab one or two, I want to do it soon. Where do they hangout, give me info.” Newton walked to the edge of the dock and hung over the rail “the easiest one to get is Mike Kenteno, he does a drug shipment in the south central Slums every day almost.” “All right then! Kenteno our man, let grab him.” The two walked off the docks.
Mean while Da Don walked back and forth in his office in the middle of the center of Trinity. He wasn’t scared or nervous, he been down this road several times. The under-bosses always swing against him. But, now he had the power through Jimmy to put all them in they’re place. Garith, one of Da Don’s men walked into the office. “Boss the southern under-bosses are threatening to have a full mob war. What are we going to do?” Da Don was facing away from Garith, he grinned and looked over his shoulder at him “I got it all under control I have Jimmy on the job.” Garith stood up straight and look down at his shoes “why do you trust that guy, what does he got?” Don shot a quick answer “value.” Garith repeated then Da Don continued, “He ain’t loyal to the mafia, yeah sure. But, that doesn’t mean he is not loyal to me. Jimmy will do what I tell him to do. He will not follow anyone else’s orders though, and hell I like it better that way.” Garith glared at Da Don, silence fell over the room “and what if he loses value?” Da Don fell silent for a while, he was angry. Why is this man questioning his left hand man? What the hell does he know? Finally he answered “then I’ll waste him like I am going to do to you if you don’t shut the fuck up.” Garith walked out of the room. Da Don sat in his desk he laid his body on top of it “Jimmy will not lose value”
“Your sure this is where we need to be?” “Yeah” “Positive” “yeah” “really” “fuck off, we have only been waiting around for an hour, one fucking hour!” Jimmy and Newton were sitting in a SUV in the back alley of the slums. The window was cracked down Newton was smoking his usual cig. Jimmy looked at the time on his wristwatch “you know this is the route for them?” Newton lay back in his chair half asleep “I use to do the drug run with Kenteno, yeah yeah before you ask I was a member of the southern section of the mafia. But, they don’t treat henchmen right. I had to get my own fucking gun, sometimes I never got paid, so I said fuck’em I can do better. So I moved north so I can get an honest wage” Jimmy turned his head so that he looked out side of the car “honest wage, what’s so honest about killing people?” “Well I usually tell so one I am going to kill them, that really honest.” “Look there is his car!” Jimmy spotted the small black BMW. Newton started the engine of the SUV. “Is it he?” “Yes it him!” Newton said as he stepped on the gas. The SUV slammed broad side into the passenger side of the BMW the force of the hit made Jimmy hit his head on the dashboard as well the BMW slid a few feet over. Jimmy was dazed but got out of the car quickly and pulled a pistol out of his coat. He went for the drive side passing in front of the smashed BMW; he pulled the trigger on the driver shattering the window. Newton broke open the rear passenger door and dragged out a man dressed in full business attire “you fucking Mike Kenteno!” He put a gun to the side of the man’s head as he lay on the ground in pain. “Are you fucking Mike Kenteno, don’t make me repeat myself or your brains are going to be all over this asphalt!” Jimmy came to Newton’s side; Newton looked at Jimmy briefly “your bleeding from the head.” Jimmy used his off hand to check his head as he held the gun at Kenteno “damn, you got to drive better” Jimmy got out duck tape from his pocket and started rapping Kenteno’s hands and legs in it. Newton looked away. Jimmy noticed and saw that Newton looked stressed; something was wrong but now was not the time to ask. “Newton help me put him in the back of the SUV” Newton hesitated and then finally helped Jimmy out. They left before anyone could find out whom they were.

“Newton, Da Don said he would like to have the guy to be delivered to his office.” Jimmy was in the passenger seat of the SUV cleaning his pistol; Newton was driving. Newton looked at the intersection coming up “where is his office?” Jimmy had to think for a while he has been to the office several times but he always traveled from the northern parts of the city. He did not know the southern side of Trinity very well. “Umm… let me think a second.” “Well think faster because the fucking cops are behind us.” Jimmy looked out the window and saw a cop car following them “don’t worry its not after us, besides I can bribe the pig anyways.” Newton kept looking forward at the road ahead, it seemed like he wasn’t paying attention to anything Jimmy said. Finally Newton spoke up “where is it?” Jimmy wiped his head so that the blood was not all over his forehead “5th and Whitehen, the old industrial building. The is Da Don’s office.” He reached in to the glove box and pulled out of Newton seamlessly endless supply of cigarettes. “Who the fuck do you think you are! You know those are not fucking cheap, that costs me a damn arm and a leg to get those.” Jimmy lit the smoke “come on, your losing an arm and a leg just by smoking these fucking cancer sticks.” The two finally made it to the office.
Garith walked into Da Don’s office, Da Don was messing with some papers. “Boss Jimmy and his friend are here” Da Don rose from his desk “good let them in” Garith looked pissed “they brought someone with them” Da Don smiled a sadistic smirk “good good take them right in!” Garith walked out of the office and brought Newton and Jimmy in. Newton had Kenteno slung over his shoulder. Jimmy stood at the door side leaning against the wall. Newton placed Kenteno in the chair in front of Da Don’s desk. Garith walked out of the office “Christmas came early this year, I mean it is only October and look I got my first gift. Thank you so much Jimmy, and…” “Newton” “yes Newton” Da Don paused a bit and walked up to Kenteno he begun to walk in circles around him. He passed in front of Kenteno and stopped he turned around and placed a hand on Kenteno. He was studying Kenteno intently. Jimmy and Newton stood quietly. “Ah. Hehe, your fucking Kenteno. Motherfucker how are you doing.” Kenteno spoke up “fuck you! You’re a fucking nut case you’re insane! I can’t believe they call you Da Don you sick fuck. Tren-” Da Don smacked Kenteno across the face “don’t call me by that name I am the fucking Don now! I am on top.” Kenteno sat quietly then he had a mumbled “Trent” Da Don face turned bright red he stomped his way around the desk and reached in the drawer. Da Don pulled out a large pistol. Jimmy notice it, it was a degal. A 50 cal, which means whatever Da Don was going to do he did not want to see. Jimmy grabbed Newton shoulder and walked out of the room. Da Don pushed the chair Kenteno was in against the wall “what did you call me!” Kenteno looked unphased by the threat “go ahead you wouldn’t shoot me, you would start an all out gang war!” Da Don pointed the gun point blank at Kenteno head “what did you call me!” Kenteno yelled, “I fucking called you Trent, your name is Trent and you will never be the fucking Don asshole!” Anger Madness Insanity any emotion that you would connect with a lunatic showed up on Da Don face. There was a short paused, a bead of sweat slid down Kenteno’s face. Da Don turned his back to Kenteno and begun to walk to the other side of the room. Suddenly he turned around and shot Kenteno in the leg “oh fucking Jesus Christ! You shot me. You’re fucking crazy! Oh God I am bleeding I am going to die!” The shot was so powerful that it ripped Kenteno pants and the chair. Blood was splattered everywhere. Kenteno was crying, sobbing. Da Don walked up to Kenteno “oh your not going to die yet” he took his hand and put it under Kenteno’s chin “oh I am going to need to keep you alive for awhile, so that I can make an example of you?” Da Don begun to pace the room back and forth he thought out loud so that Kenteno could hear what he was saying “what should I do, what should I do? I could rip your dick off and mail it to the other southern under-bosses. I could cut your entire finger off and mail those too! Oh your good Don really good. And then I can have my own fun with you. You know what my favorite form of torture is?” He looked at Kenteno who was now broken down to the mental status of a 1 year old “I like to hand people but, you know I don’t like to waste rope on such a waste of life. So I will hang you with oh I don’t know… you’re… your vocal cords if you don’t mind? Do you mind?” Kenteno just sat there crying. “Good we will get right to it then. Hey Garith call the butcher I have a special job for him.” Jimmy and Newton where walking down the hallway, they where quiet, the two of them felt guilty. Newton spoke up “look… I know you like the payment that nut case gives you but come on you just gave some one over to the devil!” Jimmy was quiet, he was deep in thought. He shook his head several times. “Look I don’t know, I don’t fucking know ok.” He placed his head in to his hands “better to be the left hand man of the devil then to be in his way…” Newton stopped walking, he looked at the floor. “Is that how you see it, Jimmy? How many people are going to suffer?” Jimmy looked up “it is they’re just disserts, we are all in a business where you may never live to see the next day. This is how the mafia is. It’s a dog eat dog world Newton” the way Jimmy said it was not convincing to Newton. Newton believed that Jimmy did not mean what he was saying. “What about your family? Jimmy, what about them do they have to suffer for your sins?” Jimmy took out a cigarette “what are you my fucking priest?” Jimmy looked turned to the wall in the hallway he leaned against the wall with his hands over his head. Newton smiled “you would make a good Don.” Jimmy starting laughing so hard he was choking on his smoke “yeah… no I ain’t cut out for this shit I am not a mass murder.” Newton leaned against the wall that Jimmy was leaning against “oh I see you’re only a murder, got yeah.” Newton and Jimmy were laughing “all right Jimmy see you later I got to go home.”

He moved the cigarette back and forth with one hand before fumbling it into his mouth and lighting it. The only real light in the entire warehouse was the ash burning on the end of Jimmy’s cigarette. It had been two months since Da Don made him go out and grab Kenteno. Since then Jimmy and Newton have had to grab about twenty other under bosses that didn’t follow the rules the Da Don made. At first the two of them had issues with their jobs but once Newton got desensitized to the violence no one ever asked a question about it. Jimmy leaded against a wall in front of a pile of wooden boxes. He had been on the warehouse docks for over three hours waiting for some gun smugglers. He had moved at since he got into the complex. At his feet were the buds of all the smokes that Jimmy smoked up until now. He was getting really tired of waiting. He took his cell phone out and called Newton. The call failed the first time, he placed the phone back into his pocket and took another puff. He grew uneasy immediately and reached for his phone again. He placed it next to his ear listening to the hum of the ringer.
“Jimmy what is up, I am in the middle of something.”
Jimmy chuckled a little “I didn’t know you did work Newton. Anyways I have been at the docks for over three hours and the smugglers are nowhere to be found.” Newton took a second to think “Maybe they decided that it was time to get a new job, something with more job security.” “Funny…” Jimmy had a hint of sarcasm in his voice. “how are thing at you end your doing a drug deal right?” Newton retorted “Please, these guys are fucking dolts, they wanted cocaine in pounds I told them we only do it in Kilos” “So it didn’t work out?” Jimmy sounded a little concerned “No…no it worked out I ended up having to convert Kilos to pounds and shit you know math. Who the fuck ever thought that math and deal drugs goes hand and hand?” Jimmy laughed he coughed a little, Newton continued to speak “Still have those cancer sticks Jimmy?” “You bet, the only thing that keeps me sane. What your done with smoking now.” “Hehe…No… I smoke light cigarettes now less flavor but, at least I will last a little longer then you” Jimmy heard the door to the warehouse open “Hey Newton got to go if I don’t call you back in three hours call me, or call the cops so they can get my body out of the bay.” He hung up before Newton could respond. He took the cigarette out of his mouth and stomped it under his foot.
“Don’t suppose you guys know what time it is?” Jimmy said this with a glare. There were three of them all dressed in heavy coats and sweaters. The head guy had a full grey beard, he was a real old timer. He had a flannel coat and cap. “Look we are here you have the guns I have the cash.” Jimmy looked down at the boxes “So you wanted some fire power? What for going to go kill some cops or something?” The man just walked over to one of the boxes and cracked open the top. “Perfect for hostile take over or killing a whole crew.” Jimmy came up beside the man and placed his hand over the lid closing it so the man couldn’t see the fire arms anymore. “So I think its $15,000” The man looked over at Jimmy “drop it down to 10,000” “I don’t set the prices I sell the goods.” “I am sorry then because its 10,000 or I kill you.” Jimmy laughed a little, he was out numbered and most likely out gunned when it came to fire power. He took a few steps away from the boxes and the man. He had a tingling sensation in his chest. He hated pushy costumers. “Well fuck guess we have no deal then.” The man laughed “Oh, I was just pulling your leg, no need to get up tight and shoot people.” Jimmy wiped his face. The exchange when smoothly from there and in about an hour all the weapons were loaded and they shook hands and Jimmy had the money.
He begun to make his way back to his car when he got a call from Newton. It was two hours early but, Jimmy picked it up anyways. “Jimmy, Garith called… he said its important Da Don wants to see us ASAP.” Jimmy opened the door to his small beat up compact car. “he probably wants us to get him another person, you know I am a hit man yet for some reason I feel like I never get to do my job…” Newton finished his line “Because Da Don is always the person who kills the guy. Yeah I know some hit man you are how many people have you killed Jimmy?” Jimmy sat in his seat and turned the engine on, he thought about it for a moment “You know since I joined like 5 years ago I killed about 9 people, not a lot I guess” “So you keep count?” “I said about. I really don’t keep count its not something I am overly proud of you know.” There was a pause and then Newton spoke up “Bring your car to the parking lot on 5th and Yukon. Park it there and we will go to Da Don in my SUV.” Jimmy begun to leave the parking lot of the docks “Sure lets do that.” “Alright Jimmy see you in a few.” Jimmy threw the phone on to the passenger seat of his car. He was tired he had been up since 12:00am moving equipment and checking inventory for the arms deal. Once he turned on to the main street his phone rang again. He didn’t bother with it at first. But, it rung another time. Looking down at the display Jimmy noticed his wife’s name on the tiny screen. He sighed and picked up the phone.
“hello honey, how is your day?” “Jimmy, you haven’t been home all week is your job really that busy?” For five years Jimmy had been able to lie to his wife. She had no clue that he was a hit man in the trinity mafia. This entire time she had been under the impression that he does a lot of odd jobs for this used car company. His most used excuses were, moving inventory out of town, setting up a new business branch. Meeting with corporate or clients. For the most part it worked, he had the bags under his eyes to prove that work was trying and he was a ‘family man’ for the most part. “I just got called to meet with another client we are going to make a big sale selling three cars.” His wife sounded worried and worn out, a hint of depression was in her voice “Jimmy dear please call me when you are finished, I was worried you were in a car accident.” Under his breath Jimmy said “That’s the least of your worries” “What was that Jimmy?” “nothing I will call you later tonight.” He hung up he was at the parking structure.

Slowly a car rolled up to a dark black SUV, the lights turned of and a man’s foot came out. The door slammed shut and Newton stood just looking at the figure as it lumbered towards him. It was Jimmy he was in a dark blue parka with a beanie on. The cold weather swirled around him as he came close to Newton. “I can’t do it anymore” The words formed out of thin air and landed on the ears of Newton who stood, shocked an expressionless gaze on his face.
“When this all started, I was fine with it. The rackets, the violence… none of it phased me. Trent use to not bother me. But, now that we are the top dogs I want out. This isn’t how I envisioned it.” A buffed frozen cloud protruded from the lips of Jimmy. “Newton, I want out if it means a bullet in the side of the head then so be it. But, I can’t do it anymore.”
Moments passed as a gust of wind blew across the parking lot. With the flicker of the lighter Newton begun to light a smoke, he took a drag and then let it out slowly. Finally leaning against his car he spoke up “Jimmy, I never thought I would see it… the day you would just finally give up, turncoats on everything the organization.” Interpreting what Newton said Jimmy retorted “I understand”
Turning around Jimmy begun to walk back to his car. With out warning a hand came to rest on his shoulder. “Its ok Jimmy, I was waiting for this moment as well. I am though ever since Trent became Da Don I have decided that the mob isn’t for me anymore.” Shuffling around Jimmy, Newton came to standing against a rail overlooking the street. “It time we end this Jimmy, what you did was a mistake helping Trent get to the top.”
“What do you mean?”
“That deal you did… not to long ago don’t you understand why you were doing that?” With a perplexed look Jimmy stood looking up into the clouds, the grey cotton balls. “Those men, they were from southy, I knew it. Full on warfare, then demise of the city. You understand Newton and you had me do it because everyone knows you deal with gun smuggling.”
“It’s no big deal Jimmy, they don’t know you. To be honest outside of the people who really know Da Don no one really knows you. Your that 12th man the one behind the scenes who is so efficient that your nearly a ghost.”
Jimmy walked to the rail and held on as if he was overcome with vertigo. “We still have to go, see the Da Don for ourselves and hand in are resignations.”
“Resignations? Jimmy do you understand what is going to happen soon, this city is going to burn before Da Don dies.”
“That is why we are going to end it before it happens.”
The words were loss on Newton, overcome with the task that Jimmy was proposing. Their eyes met and then Jimmy and Newton made their way to Newton’s SUV.
“Wait” Jimmy jogged back to his car and open the trunk he pulled out a brown duffle bag inside were slugs and a 12 gage. He made it back to the SUV and Newton open the back passenger seat Jimmy laid the bag out and then the two were off. Down the snow covered road and off to oblivion.
