Okay guys--I've had this little ficlet idea running through my head for a few days now, a little piece of writing that would include the characters from our Highschool RP: Sienna, Adrien, Anabelle, Tobias, Andrew, Lacey, and Grey(and any of the minor characters, like Karl, Rick, etc.).
And I decided that I'd like to share the idea and see what you guys come up with. The basic story idea will be the same, but if you all decide to write something for it, the details and events will be completely your own. I'd like to see what you guys come up with=)
So, the setting: Friday, sixth period, in the final minutes of class. Minutes away from being the weekend, minutes before the bell will ring and everyone is free--well, for the weekend at least. The challenge is to write a short fic about what happens once that bell does ring--who has to go where? Who goes to say goodbye to who, or to make plans? How would those conversations go? You can include as many or as few characters/different viewpoints as you'd like, from a short conversation between two people to covering every single one of our characters. Keep in mind the established relationships between the characters and play off of them--this could be really interesting =)
have funnn!

ooc: so i only know Tobias and Anabelle well enough, so im focusing on them.
bic:
The look at the clock. tick...tick...tick... The voices of annoying teachers... blah...blah...dont do drugs...blah...blah
Click.
BRINNNNNNGGGGGGG!
Finally, the week of school had ended, and everyone was free. Free to roam the town, uninhibited by cruddy rules of teachers and faculty. And you could already see that happening. All around, student ran wild, some being pushed over, others doing the actual pushing. Some of them conversing with their friends, bits and pieces of conversations with words like "movies"..."mall"..."party."
Yes, it truly was the weekend. And Tobias knew it, immediatley booking it out of his class to go find Anabelle. He had waited all week for this day, because they had both made sure to keep the day free of plans. And tonight was the show. Yes, it seems that our dear friend Tobias and his guitar playing skills got him a show at the local coffee house, and the only person he wanted the most to be there was Anabelle. And then suddenly, he saw her.
"Anabelle!" he called out, running up to catch her, not yet tackling her, but taking her up in his arms and picking her up off the ground in a huge embrace.
"Tobias you crazy! Put me down!" she responded with laughter, all without trying to not be too embarassed in front of her friends.
"Hello ladies," Tobias said, putting her down and giving her friends a nod of the head and a smile. "So, Anabelle, you can come tonight, right?"
"Tonight?"
"Yes, tonight. The coffee house? My show? Please tell me you didnt forget?" Tobias said, his hopes kind of lowering when she seemed to have forgotten.
Anabelle then realized that she did remember, but then also had forgotten to tell Tobias she had a family thing. "Uh, Tobias, I kinda...well, there is no way to easily put this. Uh, I cant come."
"What?" he said, shocked.
"My parents and I have to go visit my grandparents. They just told me this morning. I had every intention of going tonight, but I cant get out of this. Im sorry..." she said, trying to get him to look at her.
"Its fine, dont worry" he said quietly. Now his good spirit had died completely. "I'll see you...whenever..." And he walked away.
Hours past between the end of school and the time he was suposed to play. And he didnt hear a word from Anabelle. He felt like he shouldnt even go play, but then again, he was happiest at two times: being with Anabelle, and playing his guitar. He couldnt have one, so why quit on the other.
The turnout was decent at the coffee place that night, the usual friday night crowds, all looking to hear good music while sipping on their latte's and tea's. He took the small stage when it was his turn, beginning to strum the nickel covered strings and letting his vocals fill the small room. He got through most of his set, but when he came to his last song, he hesistated. It was one he had written for Anabelle. And she had never heard it, and was supposed to hear it tonight for the first time. He battled his mind, finally deciding to play it, even when he didnt want to.
His fingers placed the chords, and the pick hit the strings, the sweet melody of the song flowing forth. The song played on and on, and as he hit the final chord and looked up, he saw her eyes, her smile, and the person that he hoped all the world was there. And she was.
ooc: all done.

ooc: yaay ChikA finally takes the challenge... heehee now she'd better go study for physics, gov, and econ lol
bic: Grey sat completely immersed in the work before her. thank god for advanced art... in the back of her consciousness, she was vaguely aware that she should be whatching the clock on the wall in front of her, counting the seconds just like every other teen in the school at that moment.... but she was oblivious to it never the less.....
this class was her release from everything... the stress of her advanced academic classes, the stupid ignorance of so many of her peers, the shit she faced at home daily... here, it was all blocked out... completely. nothing could get her... nothing could purturb her. this... the place, the occupation, her actions....sacred and untouchable.....
the wet clay coating her fingertips and crawling up her hands and wrists was soothing...
in front of her was a miniature sculpture of a young boy's head, age six or seven. if you knew the face as well as she did, you'd be able to tell who it was... the hair was delicately etched into long wisps that seemed to be hanging lightly around the frame of the face.... beautiful as it was.... it was the face that was giving her the most trouble.... she was trying desprately to capture the expression she wanted to convey.... it wasnt just any face... it was innocence..... that purity that existed before life's corrupt impact made its mark.... it was around the corners of the mouth.... the arch of the brows... but mostly, it was the eyes... the blank eyes of sculpted busts had never sat well with her.... she hated the empty stares... how then, could she get this right? her own eyes narrowed, contemplating the question... she could focus on the curve of the lids... hmm... but that blank stare still bothered her....
Grey was unaware when the bell finally rang... she didnt even notice that Sienna had stood up next to her and said she'd call her later.... The red-head just shrugged and walked out with a smile... that was Grey. it was nothing personal, she just took her art way seriously.
Without seeing, Grey was completely aware as he walked into the room. without looking up she addressed him... "sit down. wait." and he did. without questioning. he knew better than to disobey or try to distract her when she was in this kind of zone....
before Grey, he wouldn't have stopped for anyone on a friday afternoon after school. but it was different with her. he liked this... sitting down next to her, not too close, leaning his back against the table, watching her work... something about the way she didn't let him distract her... so many other girls would have dropped everything at the sound of his step, or would have stopped working half an hour ago hoping he would come for her. not Grey.
this, to him, was one of the times when she looked most beautiful. the stray strand of inky hair falling between the intensity of her eyes and the project before her... it was like looking into a part of her soul...
Grey looked up with a jerk and eyed him sharply. a new light had entered into those jet black eyes of hers...
the solution hit her hard... "Close your eyes." she said out loud. then, using her gift, silently spoke into his mind saying 'put yourself back to that first time at the runway'
it was all she needed to say. he was there... remembering how they had sat there, in eachother's arms... vulnerable....
it was exactly the expression she had wanted.. her fingers worked quickly, molding the eyes before her as smaller, rounder versions of his closed lids....a little more... perfect.
she jumped up silently, and carefully keeping her clay covered fingers away from his face and hair, she placed her palms on either side of his face and kissed him... "you're beautiful" she whispered, then quickly took up the sculpture and moved to put it away before he could respond...

Tick, tick, tick, tick. Every minute passed so slowly. Why did Grey sit halfway across the room? Amber eyes watched the clock. Was it even moving? Only the resounding tick tock assured her that it was. Effing substitues and their effing requirements of silence. Effing clocks that move slower than they should.....Sienna's thoughts raced. But why should she care whether or not she got out of class? She'd go right back to staring at the clock half an hour later. Boo. She frowned slightly, flipping idly through someone's drawing pad, vivid pictures of plants and scenery jumping out at her, but these thoughts she hardly acknowledged, instead her thoughts dwelling on the little counter she'd be staring at the rest of the evening, watching little preps trying to be punk. Five minutes to go....
"...And if you misuse a comma...." "You will die a horrible and violent death," a brunette commented, but only loudly enough for her blonde companion to hear, as she twirled a strand of hair about her finger. Her elbow sat on the desk, propping her head up. The blonde looked over with a giggle. "You look bored," she commented. And the girl's eyes sparkled with amusement. "Bored is officially the understatement of the year." And with that she leaned over just enough to see what the shapely cheerleader was writing. What's that?" she questioned, as the girl's purple pen flew across the paper. "A note." "A note?" "Yeah. To Andrew." "Ohhh," Anabelle replied, grinning. "Almost done," she continued, drawing a heart and scrawling 'Lacey' beside it. To think, these two girls had hated each other at first sight. "Only five minutes left of class," the brunette chimed in, pulling her black t-shirt down slightly. "Did I tell you that I liked that shirt?" Lacey commented without looking up. "The design is great," she continued, referring to the random sprawls of neon color and random phrases.
"Ah, screw this," Sienna mumbled to herself, letting the braid she had been randomly entwining her hair into fall free. One look at the sub, who was staring blankly at a magazine, probably wishing as much as she that they could leave, and she was on her feet, crossing the room blatantly. The sub didn't even look up. "Can we just ditch now? I swear whats-her-face won't even notice," the redhead complaibned as she dropped into the seat beside her friend. Grey's dark eyes were fixed on a sketch pad sitting before her, the charcoal pencilo in her hand weaving delicate lines onto the paper. She hardly looked up as Sienna sat beside her, her concentration clearly on the work before her. "No. It's almost over, anyways," she told Sienna sternly, still not looking up, and the girl frowned in reply. "But Greyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.....think about it! So many better things to be doing!" "In..." and here Grey consulted the clocking, which was still ticking away, "three minutes?" "Yes!" Sienna replied, but she knew that her logic was faulty and Grey had clearly won this argument. "Gah! Fine!" she announced, crossing her arms and throwing her head down. "Wake me in three min...." "Oh Sienna..." Grey laughed, shaking her head and returning to her work as if never disturbed. "You're not going to go to sleep for three minutes..." "Yes I am!" she replied stubbornly, but even as she looked up and saw that there was no longer three but only one minute left of class she knew her friend was right.
RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING! Ah, there was the bell. Let all chaos erupt. And surely enough it did. Students poured out of classrooms on every side of the hallway, filling the cold, silent halls with laughter, shouts, and footsteps. It was in these few minutes, after those tense minutes before the bell rang, that the saying "All hell broke loose" come to life. Because, quite frankly, all hell breaks loose.
"Have fun being a cheerleaderr!" the brunette teased, pulling her zip-up over her shoulders as the blonde headed off. "When don't I? Stop being so bitter that you're missing out!" she replied, smirking in Anabelle's direction before hurrying through the crowd, past hoards of dawdling students. This left Anabelle by her lonesome--well, at least until she found a certain blonde-haired boy. How hard could that be? He was already waiting at her locker, and she caught his eye--his eyes and their gorgeous blue hue--almost immediately. "Hey you," he greeted softly, and arm wrapping delicately about her shoulders as they met just in front of her locker. She grinned in reply, rather happy to see him. "Come on, let's get your things and head out," the boy said, his hands resting gently on her shoulders as she rummaged through her locker. Anabelle's eyes glinted with excitement. "What? Eager to get rid of me?" she teased, turning to face him as her arms snaked about his waist. "No!" he said, apalled with her words, and drew her closer, his lips pressing lightly against her cheek. "The sooner you get home and get ready, the sooner we can go," he informed her, and she giggled. "I know. I just have to give you a hard time," Anabelle told him, resting her head against his shoulder. His hand ran down her arm and traced her fingers before entwining them with his own. "Ready?" he questioned, but her locker had been long closed and he knew the answer. "Alright, alright. Let's go before you have a heart-attack!" she laughed, turning around as his arms encircled her waist, propelling her forward.
Even if Grey was totally immersed in her work, Sienna found solace in having someone beside her. At any rate, Grey's drawing, though in the very rough stages of development, was beautiful, and Sienna delighted in watching each line form a new part of the portrait. Besides, the gentle vibration of a cellphone was enough to keep Sienna occupied. Blatantly pulling the device from her pocket, the redhead found the screen glowing brightly with the promises of a text message. my car? Adrien. Sienna grinned, despite the simplicity of the message. Adrien had a way of doing that. He knew she had work...she shook her head gently and typed her reply: Okay, but I can't stay long. I've got work, remember? 30 seconds and counting; Grey was completely gone, having had a revelation concerning the drawing's lighting. The reply came just as the bell rang; an unanimous sigh of relief rose up from the students as people made a beeline for the door. Sienna paused only momentarily to read the message, throwing a goodbye in Grey's direction(Grey would wait for Andrew to show up, Sienna knew full well). you always say that. just come to my car. She didn't need telling twice.
The parking lot was buzzing with students, flitting about, visiting each other's cars, speeding at an ungodly pace down the narrow street, and just gossiping in or on their cars. Two familiar cars sat side by side; one belonging to Anabelle, the other to Tobias. The pair seperated, Anabelle going to her car to relieve herself of a heavy backpack, as Tobias made his way to his car, unceremoniously dumping his backpack into the backseat. "You're a loser," she told him, a smile playing on her lips as she rounded the cars and found herself face to face with him. "Ah. That's not very nice, now is it?" he said, pouting slightly. "Oh, I'm sorry....how do I make up for it?" she answered, arms wrapping around his neck as his wrapped around her waist. "Well...I do have one idea that would work veryyy well," he told her thoughtfully, looking down at her, the distance between them dangerously close. "Oh really?" she questioned, smirking as she looked up at him. "Yes," he replied, his voice a whisper as he rested his forehead against hers. And without further speaking he dipped his head down and pressed his lips against hers gently.
He met her with a kiss, rough and so Adrien-like, pulling her towards him and wrapping his arms hungrily about her waist. He spared no propriety, and this Sienna loved, letting him press her up against the wall and run his fingers through her hair. He pulled back finally, looking at her briefly before letting her go. "You have to go to work?" he questioned, turning and heading back towards his car. She followed at a distance, stopping before the passenger door until he gestured for her to join him. "Of course I have to go to work," she defended feebly, though she couldn't even manage to convince herself with that argument. "Not right now though," the boy prompted, his hands running up her leg rather daringly, and a shiver ran through her body. "I have a...few....minutes..." Sienna surmised, though she knew she truly had none. Who was she to pass up a few minutes with Adrien?
That would definitely make up for anything, Anabelle decided, sinking into the kiss, falling against him, her fingers running along the neckline of his shirt. "I think that would do it," he finally said, pulling away, but only just so, still holding the female close to him. She grinned and sought his hand, entwining his fingers with hers. "Alright....let's get going." "Ready for tonight?" he questioned, as she pushed him towards his car and watched him climb in. "Very, very, ready," she replied, ducking slightly to avoid hitting the roof of his car and pressing their lips together in a far shorter kiss. "I'll see you in a few hours..." she said, turning to head back to her own car.
"You should brush your hair," Adrien smirked, surveying his girlfriend as he straightened his clothes. Nothing had happened, honest. Sienna grinned, running her fingers through a tangled mass of curls, trying to get them to behave. "Hey now, your hair isn't so neat either, you know," she said, messing it up purposely for emphasis. "Yeah...but you know you love it," he teased, leaning forward and catching her off guard in a kiss. She shrugged, not agreeing but certainly not disagreeing and finally gathered enough courage to check her cell phone for the time. The numbers leered brightly up at her. "SHIT!" she cursed vehemently. She didn't have to say it; Adrien knew immediately. Sienna was late.
"Wait!" Tobias cried, the window rolling down with a quiet buzz. The sound of his music, a familiar song, floated through the window. "What?" she asked, pausing, startled slightly. "I have to tell you something. Come here," he commanded, and she turned, retracing her steps until she stood before his window. "Closer." By now she was puzzled, but she leant over, gazing at him with a rather curious expression on her face. "Come here..." he coaxed, and again the distance between the two lessened. "What do you have to tell me?" she asked softly, close enough to feel the warmth of his breath on her skin. But instead of speaking he pressed his lips once more against hers, a short kiss that lasted only a few seconds before pulling away. "That," he answered as she straightened up, unable to stop the smile that crossed her face.
He always did manage to leave her absolutely stunned.
